Meet CCDC 1st Vice Chair, Ervenia Bowers

Ervenia Bowers who is a retired senior, serves as president and chief executive officer of FEBO Vintage Rare Inc a public non-profit organization since 2004; serves Healthy Savannah as CHA for COVID-19, serves Chatham County Board of Elections as Assistant Poll Manager/Clerk and Poll Monitor; Forsyth Famers Market Food Farmacy volunteer for senior voucher food distributor; NAACP Silver Life membership, A. Phillip Randolph Youth Committee Chair; Savannah Citizen Police Academy volunteer since 2018; joined membership to local chapter of Chatham County Democratic Party in 2019; accepted in SCCPSS Operation Beacon Volunteer Program 2019-2023; partnership in 2019 with Black Voter Matters; 2019 partner with “End Gun Violence Initiative” – Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement( ONSE) .

She joined with Democratic politics at Prairie View A&M University (HBC) then in 1994 connected with Democratic Party of Georgia; and in 2000 by employment with State of Georgia General Assembly affiliated with Black Caucus of Georgia until 2008; May 2021 appointed CCDC District 8 Chair; Inducted in 2023 CCDC Interim Chair then served as 1st Vice Chair the concession of term.

She was born in Savannah Georgia, traveled U.S.A. and overseas, has two children with grands and great grandchildren, returned to Savannah as successor due to death of her father Mr. Getty Bowers married to mother Mrs. Dorothy Ferrell.
