Patrick is a resident of the 2nd District and started his Committee affiliation in January 2017.

Never discussing politics at the dinner table nor engaging in political activity before moving to Georgia in 2011, he has been a recovering Republican since the mid-'90s, when an epiphany resulted in unwavering support for democratic principles because it is all about people over profits.

On the side, he teaches business at an area university. He actively advocates for pro-arts public policies at all levels of government.

Providing services to the Committee from the start, in 2019, he was first elected as a post seat holder. Since he was elected, he has facilitated the Committee's communication efforts. In 2020 he was elected as the Committee's first Vice Chair.

Today, Patrick has the privilege of serving the Committee under the leadership and direction of Chair Adot Whitely. In addition, he maintains the Committee's communications through social media, email, and the Committee's website.

He holds a BS in Entrepreneurship & Small Business Management and Technical Theatre from Ball State University, an MFA in Theatre Management & Producing from Columbia University, and an MBA from Nyack College.

Patrick A. Kelsey is a Professor of Business at the Savannah College of Art and Design. He has worked as Managing Director and Development Director for Off-Broadway’s Irish Repertory Theatre, General Manager of Broadway’s Lyric Theatre, and Director of Operations for Broadway Across America.

He has two daughters. In Savannah, he lives with his wife Tara, daughter Eliza, and two cats, Klangg and Cocoa. He is also proud to have his eldest daughter Kiersten making him a first-time grandpa.
